It's a roll of the dice.

Evan was referred to me from my personal injury lawyer who is in the same building, Scott Bowman. I was awaiting my personal injury settlement when Mr Bowman's office noticed that I had some criminal charges pending. Mr Bowman's legal Assistant contacted me to let me know that they noticed these crim...inal charges, and said that Mr Lewis would take my case and it would just come out of my personal injury settlement. Having no money at that time, that sounded like a great idea because his prices seemed pretty fair. He did work my cases but ultimately I ended up with a capias and a warrant after paying him $5,000 up front for my cases which I never knew you weren't supposed to pay an attorney all up front, but I did just to end up with warrants that I ultimately ended up spending 48 days in jail for when they caught me and my car was impounded and cost me over $1,700 to get it out which is ridiculous because I am on SSI and that's two full months worth of payments Plus some. Not to mention that the reason I had a personal injury lawyer was because I was in a severe car accident and almost died last year in July and then again in December when I was induced in a coma for 2 weeks because of complications from a weak immune system. In that accident I shattered my pelvis which if anybody has hip problems knows the pain that I live with everyday, so to go have to sleep on a metal bunk at Jackson Pike on about a 3 in thick mat that when you lay down on it shrinks down to about an inch and a half thick mat on a metal hip because it had to be reconstructed from the accident. I also had a letter head excuse from my surgeons office stating that I am not medically cleared for jail due to my hip. That was not even taken into consideration and I was laughed at by the sheriff's department when I told them about the excuse... They didn't even bother to look at it and told everybody at Jackson Pike ( other deputies) when they brought me in there that I was high on drugs because I said that I had a doctor's excuse that excused me from jail and that there was no such thing. I went through hell and I think did more damage to my hip which is now affected My overall well-being for the rest of my life. If I never had the warrants then none of this would have ever happened. The warrants were issued on a day that I was due in court, wasn't feeling well that morning, and had called Evan to see if it was going to be continued and if I had to come if it was going to be continued. He was supposed to check with the judge which he did but never called me back to let me know that I had to be there. So I was late getting there when he finally did call to ask me where I was and had to walk five and a half six blocks to get to the courthouse, if anybody knows anything about downtown Columbus, on a rollator walker. So needless to say I didn't make it before court ended and the capias was issued. But shortly after the Capias being issued, Evan quit on me because allegedly he wasn't going to "keep taking my insults". I have a text message that reflects that when he quit. All I did that I know of that may have insulted him was telling him that if he didn't have the answers to my questions that he may want to consult with his dad to get me the answers to my questions. I'm straightforward and to the point and that to me is not an insult, that's me is exactly what it says, that I have a question about my case and if you can't answer it consult with your father who is been in practice with you but he's been in practice a lot longer and may have the answer to my question. So I don't know if he took it the wrong way or how he took it I don't know but there was nothing personal there intended but you're going to have to toughen that skin up because there's people that you're going to represent out there that are a lot more harsh than I am with their words and their actions. I mean I'm only a 5 ft tall female, well, 4'10 and a half now since my accident, so sorry I insulted
