Courteous and professional

Marshall Cohn and his staff were nothing but courteous and very professional. I would highly recommend him for anyone who is going to file chapter 7 or 13. I was super nervous when I first met with him and his staff. They did everything possible to comfort me.

wonderful atty

Marshall spent many long years helping me with several bankruptcy cases during a very long divorce fight. He became more than a atty, and more like a friend. He was more than helpful with both chapter 13 and chapter 7 I definatly would reccomend him.

worst attorney in columbus

After four visits Mr. Cohen decided that I should convert from chapter 13 to 7. I instead went to a reputable attorney who stated I was not a candidate for chapter 13 . period. If you still wish to use Marshall Cohen AS An attorney, you will soon be parted with yout money.

Mashall Cohen is only interested in making money. I hope it is not at your expense...Not knowledgeable in Chapter 13 at all.

Allowed a debt that my ex was to pay, per our divorce, attach to y filing. Told me not to worry when I called his office about the letter I rec'd from the trustee that this was being done. After they found the letter in my file, I was told my payments would still cover the debt I originally agreed to... repay. When my chapter 13 was discharged and I asked him why he let my wifes creditor attach to my case he replied that he is not a divorce attorney. He does not look at divorce orders.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
