We created a boutique intellectual property firm for one reason – to be able to provide clients Tier 1 expertise and service. Our clients do not get young lawyers or lawyers who do not know the area working on their matters. They get two very experienced and well trained IP lawyers. Our practice focuses exclusively on trademark, copyright, advertising and unfair competition law. We left “BigLaw” because the business model is broken and a losing proposition for the clients. Trademark litigation does not require an army!
We are very different. We care about our clients. We actually like our clients and can give personal service to our clients because we are not stuck in the “BigLaw” model. We represent businesses, ad agencies and individuals. Ask us for names – we’re glad to provide references.
We provide advice, counseling, and build and protect intellectual property portfolios, but in a cost-effective and efficient manner. Our clients get our 50 years of experience - and our global contacts. Just part of our personal service.
However, we also litigate to the end if need be. We never “walk” our clients into needless lawsuits, but when the need arises, we will vigorously PROTECT and DEFEND our client’s interests against anyone.

Best trademark attorney I have ever met
Joe and I met as adversaries. He was counsel for opposing. After a few conversations, it was apparent, he understood business and how to find resolution that both parties could live with. His incredible ability to see and work outside the box allowed us to all come to a quick settlement whereas we...

Exceptionally knowledgeable, and a real pleasure to work with!
I've worked with 10+ lawyers over the course of building my business, and there aren't many that I can say I look forward to getting an email/call from, or that are a pleasure to work with. Joseph is that lawyer. He's exceptionally knowledgeable, and helped us to navigate and resolve a very compl...

NYC-Quality at Ohio Prices
I am a lawyer and entrepreneur, and have now used Joe at two of my companies for my trademark needs. My companies are both based in NYC, but since trademark law is federal, there's very little advantage to paying a lawyer twice as much just so they are in the same city. Joe is an excellent lawyer ...

Fantastic experience!
Joe assisted in filing our trademark application. He walked us through the entire process and was available to answer all of our questions. With Joe, I was able to navigate through a lot of red tape and expedite the process. I would highly recommend Joe and his team.
"One great answer after another: accurate, analytic, and customized to the needs of the Avvo askers. These are exactly the qualities that every client would look for when hiring an attorney."
"Joe is a pragmatic, intensely focused, and highly knowledgeable trademark lawyer who places the interests of his client first. I am always refreshed by Joe's candor and business sense. He is a most respected professional colleague, and the person to whom I refer trademark matters."
"I had the pleasure of working with Joe Dreitler for over ten years while I was in-house counsel at a large insurance and financial services company. Joe's deep expertise, vast experience and practical advice were always a great asset."
"Joe is an outstanding lawyer in the areas of trademark, copyright, advertising and unfair competition laws."
"I endorse this lawyer. Joe is an exceptionally knowledgeable IP attorney. He has worked with me as local counsel on a number of matters and did a great job in each instance. He is my go to lawyer for all of my matters in the state of Ohio."
"Joe Dreitler is highly knowledgeable about trademark law and practice, but equally importantly, he has a keen business sense, having practiced both in-house and at major firms before starting his own firm. I have entrusted Joe with trademark conflicts as well as cases in Ohio. Joe resolved these matters quickly and efficiently, and treated the clients with respect and candor. The clients reported back to me that they were delighted that I had sent them to Joe. I also recommend Joe for difficult trademark registrations and appeals. With his many years in the field, Joe is an enormous resource on the finer points of trademark law."
"I SRONGLY endorse this lawyer. Joe was my partner for many years and my go-to guy for IP law. He is diligent, intelligent and knows his stuff. I can't receommend him more highly to one and all, and sitll miss him as a partner."
"I wholeheartedly endorse Joe Dreitler's legal skills and professionalism for several reasons. First, he is extremely knowledgeable about IP and patent law. His litigation skills are top-notch and his professional demeanor ensure his clients top-notch legal representation. Because of Mr. Dreitler's unparalleled ethics and skills, I have interviewed him for countless magazine and newspaper articles not only about IP and trademark law, but also about the nuances of practicing law and other general law-related topics. He is consistently generous with his time and expertise and his impeccable demeanor harken to attorneys of yesteryear who are civil not only to the judiciary, but to opposing counsel and clients, and the barista at the corner shop. He is a credit to the profession whose unparalleled professionalism should be cloned for all attorneys."
