Don’t waste your time with anyone else

Attorney Collis is a badass professional license attorney and one of the most intelligent and well spoken individuals I’ve ever met. She defended my license and helped quay the anxiety of the process. Zero dishonesty. She will go to bat for you to get you a chance to keep your license, and she genuin...ely cares for the people she represents. She is worth every penny and will even help you save money if she thinks after she assesses your case that you are safe to be represented by someone else in the firm who charges less. She handles the worst of the worst cases with ease and grace. Her staff is professional and very capable. Thank you Beth and firm, what you do matters. ❤️

If the Board calls you, call Beth!

When the Board of Nursing told me I'd been named in a complaint, I was confident that I'd been compliant with the Nurse Practice Act & there was no case against that. The Board explained the process as "informal", & said there was no action against my license. However, the Board's process is inherent...ly protective of the public & punitive to nurses. When I was asked to discuss the case despite not being allowed to know what the complaint even said, I knew that "my right to" attorney representation was necessary. I found Beth in an online search of attorneys specializing in medical & nursing licensure defense. Beth was quickly receptive to my contact, listened actively, & made it clear that she was motivated to represent me steadfastly. Our private discussion made it clear that Beth knew the Board's process and nursing practice itself very well, which remained obvious on our call with the Board's representative. Despite being confident in my lack of wrongdoing, I would've never wanted to speak to the Board without Beth, as their process can be quite tricky. Fortunately, the matter was closed after our single conversation, and my license left unscathed! This occurred before I had professional liability insurance, so I worried about cost. However, Beth was very efficient, getting all the info she needed & answering my questions in very few total hours. She didn't bill for a bit extra--every moment of her time is your money well spent! I've since mentioned my experience w/ Beth to a family friend who's a high-profile surgeon. She told me that Beth is the best in our area, and has personally recommended Beth to physician colleagues in more intense situations. Call her, you will not regret it!

Enquiry from Medical Board

Very helpful in resolving my situation. Easily reachable and prompt in replying. Able to set up the consultation in a timely manner. Worked with Medical Board to resolve the situation quickly.

A+++

Beth took over my case after I had hired a previous attorney who continued to pressure me to make risky choices that I felt would only hurt my case. I consulted Beth for a second opinion and after a well informed talk, I decided to drop my other attorney and hire her because of her superior knowledge... regarding the entity I was up against, the Board of Nursing. She works directly in Columbus, so she is able to interact with the Board of Nursing almost daily (it's a huge plus versus someone who does not live close to area). She was able to negotiate for me to receive the fairest and most realistic agreement possible between me and the Board of Nursing. Throughout the process she was knowledgeable and nonjudgmental. All of her replies to my questions and concerns were fast and thoughtful - she is easily accessible. I recommend her to anyone looking for the best attorney to have on your side when up against the Board of Nursing!

Thank you for your kind and thoughtful response. Our entire staff works hard to be responsive to any questions or concerns of our clients. We know that facing discipline by a licensing Board can be frustrating and frightening. If we cannot get the Board to close the case with no disciplinary action, we try to make sure that our clients understand the process and help them to complete any conditions placed on their license. It is important to us that we not only negotiate fair Consent Agreements for our clients (or zealously defense our client through the hearing process) but that we help our clients to complete ALL conditions placed on their license by the Board.

No better lawyer than Beth!!

Beth is the ONLY way to go when you need a lawyer in this area of expertise. I spoke with several lawyers before a friend recommended Beth. There was no doubt that Beth was the best choice for me. From the first time we spoke she was extremely compassionate and empathetic. Those qualities are importa...nt to me. The process I was going through was utterly terrifying, yet Beth made me feel confident and deserving of what I was fighting for. Beth has always had my best interests at heart. She promptly responded to any questions/concerns I had and answered/handled them very quickly. There were times she would even respond to late night e-mails, that says a lot about her character and how much she truly cares about her clients. I have sent a few clients her way and they all feel the same as I do. I carry Beth's business cards with me in the event I run into someone in need of Beth's services. There is no one I trust more than Beth, I only recommend the best. If you are in need and searching, stop here and call Beth. She helped me get my life back and she will fight for yours too!!!

Thank you so much Kristen! I know that any involvement with your professional licensing board can be stressful. All the attorneys in our practice work closely with clients during this difficult time. We appreciate your kind words and will continue to work hard to meet and exceed your expectations.

"I endorse Attorney Collis, I often represent medical professionals and find that she is excellent at advising them on potential consequences and providing clear opinion letters regarding the same. Without her insight it can be difficult to understand the nuances and more importantly, to be able to communicate them to prosecutors, judges, and law enforcement involved in the matters. Many of my Doctor clients have been able to navigate the medical boards with her assistance and continue their careers uninterrupted. Her knowledge not only assists in resolving cases, it provides great peace of mind to my Doc clients."
