really bad attorney, not for the client.

my son has been given this lawyer from the franklin county court of common pleas. out of 8 months my son has seen him once, my son would be taken from the correction center on 104, taken to court, only to never see the court room. The lawyer told my son 8 months ago, " i have a plan " and have done... nothing. This attorney filed1 motion to suppress, and cited one statute, when there are hundreds to cite, even statute from supreme court decisions. I wrote a letter to the judge, letting her know his conduct, and asked her to get him off the case. I sent him a letter asking, him to get off the case because the family nor my son had confidence in his ability to conduct and defend this case properly, and with him not talking to my son in 8 months, this letter is on behalf of my son. I have not heard anything, so i am preparing a packet for the Ohio supreme court. There have been over 15 continuances in this case, and paperwork online for" denying right to speedy trial " handwriting do not match up, this is bad all the way around. the constitution says you have the right to an attorney; this guy is worse than a public defender. he does not care. if you send mail, it has to go to Baltimore MD, then the letter is opened, read, scanned onto a tablet. the inmate is informed that he/she has mail, and the tablet is given to him/her, with many, many, people reading it besides him/her. i have loads of information that my son can use in his case, and i can't get it to him, without it being read, passed on to the prosecuting attorney, to strengthen the case for the state. I have reviewed many cases with this judge my son has, and its crazy the over 90% of the cases she presides over , the appeals court returns it.

Larry W. Thomas

In almost a year long case, Thomas only filed two motions, apologized on my behalf for something I could prove that I did not do, did nothing to contest my unconstitutional, $500,000 bond (for non-violent, white collar criminal charges), did not contest my competence being unjustly challenged to stan...d trial, did nothing to combat my being subjected to a solitary confinement that violated the Minimum Standards for Jails in Ohio, did not prepare for the trial I wanted, did nothing to combat my being involuntarily committed to Twin Valley absent any proper hearing, and lied to me about the plea that I ended up being forced to take. Thomas is joke. I am currently suing him for negligence, fraud, malpractice, civil conspiracy, causing loss of consortium, negligently inflicting emotional distress, and intentionally inflicting emotional distress. If Thomas is appointed to represent you, document all that he does not do, i.e., seek out evidence favorable to your case, witness prep, discuss your defense, etc., and ask the court for another attorney, on the record! Make sure to clearly state what he has not done, what he will not do, and how it has utterly destroyed your ability to have a fair trial! That is the only way to deal with an attorney like this. The minute Thomas was appointed to my case, I started preparing for this. I currently have two appeals going at the moment. One because the Court refused to allow me to withdraw my guilty plea when I learned that Thomas lied to me about it.
