Darryl Odie Parker

I have been practicing law since 1999. Prior to my law practice, I worked 7 years for the McDonald's Corporation and 9 years for the Kroger Company, all in operations. I am a 1983 graduate of Capital University, with a BA in Business Administration, and a 1999 graduate of Capital University Law School.

I am currently on the Board of Directors for the Central Ohio Association of Juvenile Lawyers (COAJL) and am also the President-elect of the organization. I am a co-host of the internet radio program, Global Views, and am active in Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. I have done volunteer legal clinics at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Columbus, OH, giving free legal assistance to those who could not afford their own attorney. I have worked part-time for the Legal Aid Society of Columbus, going to various Opportunity Centers and again, offered free legal clinics for those unable to afford an attorney. I have also represented the Independent Taxicab Association of Columbus (ITAC), defending members who were involved in personal injury lawsuits. I have had a variety of experiences in my nearly 18 years of practice and all of those experiences have contibuted to making me a first rate attorney.

I began my legal career concentrating on criminal law, having tried criminal cases in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, Franklin County Court of Common Pleas and the Franklin County Juvenile Court. My practice, in the last 10 years, has moved from focusing on criminal matters to a Family Law practice, though I still do some criminal work. I have represented clients in the areas of family and juvenile law in Franklin County, Seneca County, Allen County, Greene County, Montgomery County, Delaware County, Fairfield County, Licking County, Miami County and other counties throughout the State of Ohio.
