Attorney Review of Richard Meyer

I have involved Richard Meyer on complex estate and medicaid planning matters. Richard continually displays a willingness to help with matters that are not clear cut or simple, and I appreciate his support on difficult matters. Richard maintains patience, professionalism, courtesy, and places a...bove other matters, our good relationship and our relationships with clients. When Richard cannot add value to a client's position, he is quick to point it out and exit the file. These are tributes to Richard's excellent character and our profession.

Outstanding Lawyer

Richard (Dick) has been our attorney for going on 30 years now. He has handled several things for us including: establishing individual A/B Trusts and later combining them into a Family trust; creating our wills as well as medical and financial powers of attorney and living will medical directive do...cuments; counseled me during my handling of my father's estate; counseled my husband during his handling of moving his mother to a memory care center, selling her house, and later settling her estate; and advising during both the acquisition and the sale of some rental property. Dick is extremely professional, knowledgeable, personable, and is very accessible and responsive via email and phone. He and his staff have always provided my husband and me great service. I would (and have done so) recommend Richard Meyer to anyone seeking an attorney, particularly in the areas of estate planning and elder law. You truly can do no better!

Estate planning

We hired Richard Meyer to develop and update our estate plan. We participated in a Knights of Columbus estate and will informational meeting over 25 years ago. Richard outlined the various types of estate planning tools and I remember walking out of the meeting and shared with my wife that we will ...never have the need for his services or an estate requiring such planning. It was only six months later when my father passed away. My mother was worried and unprepared to handle the neccesary legal process. We called Richard Meyer who took care of every detail to transfer property to my mother and worked with her in a very careful and thoughtful manner to protect her interest. We immediately arrange for Richard Meyer to meet with us to set up the necessary documents to protect us and our estate. We cannot Thank Richard and his entire staff for their professionalism and thoughtfulness in helping us to understand these difficult legal issues and to carefully think through the tough decisions. we have sinced asked Richard to update our estate plan and legal documents to address the legal changes that have occurred since our original documents were developed. Again Richard and his staff carefully updated our documents and properly filed. We sleep better knowing that we have Richard and his practice will be there when the need arises. A true professional.

Great help with Mom's Estate

I used Richard Meyer at Elder Law for my parents' estate planning after my father passed away. He did an excellent job of helping us with Mom's finances as she made the transition from her house through independent and assisted living to nursing care. His office walked us through what we needed to do... when she went on Medicaid, and when my brother and I had questions they were very prompt at getting back to me. I will use him again for my own estate planning.
