About Gary
Biography
Gary is certified as a Family Law Specialist by the Ohio State Bar Association. He is a former Adjunct Professor at the Capital University Law School, where he taught family law in the Legal Assistants Program. He is currently a lecturer in the area of family law at the Ohio Judicial College and the Oho Association of Domestic Relations Magistrates.
Gary has also presented lectures in the areas of family law and trial practice on behalf of various Bar Associations throughout the State of Ohio, the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers, and The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (Ohio Chapter), The International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (United States Chapter), and The National Association of Legal Secretaries.
Gary is the co-author of a chapter on International Family Law in Sowald & Morgenstern 2 Volume Series on Domestic Relations Law. Gary is a Fellow of The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (Ohio Chapter), and a Fellow of The International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (United States Chapter). He has been named an "Ohio Super Lawyer" every year since 2005 and one of Ohio's Top 100 Lawyers.
Gary Gottfried is admitted to practice law before all courts in the State of Ohio. In addition he is admitted to practice law before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and The United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
