Part of the services provided can include healthcare directives such as, living will, healthcare power of attorney, as well as different methods of titling real estate and other assets to meet your needs.
You will meet with the attorney to review your personal and family situation. This will include a review of your assets and how they are titled. Recommendations will be made about what legal documents you need, and steps you can take on your own.
Once you schedule an appointment with the attorney, our office will mail or email you a budget worksheet. You should complete this worksheet and bring it with you to your appointment. The attorney will need this information to better understand your individual situation and explain everything to you at this appointment.
You will meet with the attorney to review the circumstances of the case including: the cause of injuries and parties responsible and sources of recovery.
You will meet with the attorney to review the Will (if any), assets, next-of-kin, debts and what type of probate will be required. You will be given an idea of the time frame involved and the probate process for your particular situation. Our office will also advise you about non-probate issues such as: survivorship deeds and estate taxes. Our office will provide you with a file-stamped copy of everything that has been filed with the court.
