In 2003, Becky began her law career as an intern with the Franklin County Prosecutor's office. She graduated from Capital University Law School in May 2004 and was admitted to the Ohio Bar in NOvemer 2004, at which point she was sworn in as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. Becky gained extensive experience prsecuting a wide variety of Juvenile delinquency, traffic and bindover cases, as well as Abuse, Neglect and Dependency cases as filed by Franklin County Children's Services. Becky gained jury trial experience as co-prosecutor on several Felony Level criminal cases in the Court of Common Pleas. Additionally, she worked as the Family Drug Court Prosecutor and was appointed to the Franklin County Drug Court Board.
In January 20112, Becky left the prosecutor's office to join the law firm of Painter and Westfall LLC. With Painter and Westfall LLC. Becky continues her work in the juvenile court arena by representing juveniles in delinquency and traffice cases, as well as serving as Guardian Ad Litem in Abuse, Neglect and Dependancy cases and through the domestic court and by representing parents whose children are subjects of children's services complaints. Additionally, Becky handles victim's of crim compensation, wills and trusts, estate planning, divorce/dissolution and child custody cases.
Becky is married to Michael Brooks, who is a pilot for the Ohio State Highway Parols and has three children; Eryne Muncy (21), Zachary Muncy (18) and Michael Brooks (19). Becky has served as President of the Fraternal Order of Police for the past 6+ years and is very active with law enforcement families throughout Central Ohio. Becky is also the surviving spouse of Sgt. Marc Muncy. Sgt. Muncy was killed in the line of duty in 1995, while serving with the Columbus, Ohio Division of Police.
