Catherine Jean McCarthy

She is the worst attorney ever. She only does her job for a paycheck. She never was interested in what was best interest of the child. There were pieces of abuse and she didn't care. There was signs of the childs health and education and she again avoided to care or pay attention to the red flags ...provided. When put on the stand she had no evidence to back why she wanted shared parenting for my child. She had zero evidence supporting her 1/2 put together report. She never answered emails or calls with concerns. She showed up late to home meetings ect. Very unprofessional.

After Catherine filed our forms to Homeland Security in May, 2020, our forms were returned. The reason stated is that she forgot a form. Catherine then resent our forms again with no results. On October 7, 2020, Catherine informed me we needed to complete an I-944, in which I completed, and delivered... to her on October 28, and by November 2nd she still had not sent our forms to Homeland Security. When my wife sent Catherine an email stating she knows Of 2 other Iranians who filed forms when we filed in May, and that their paperwork was approved in 3 months, and these 2 individuals didn’t hire an attorney. This seemed to irritate her. Catherine then sent me an email stating it seems we weren’t satisfied with her work, and therefore she stated she wouldn’t represent us anymore. We had already paid her fee, and all she had to do was mail the I-944 back to Homeland Security, but instead she elected to mail them to our home. I have been advised I could file a claim against her to have my fees returned. I just want people to know what I feel was incompetence, and to consider calling a different immigration attorney.
