My main duties involve working with clients to develop estate and trust plans to protect themselves and their assets for the future.  I also conduct workshops throughout the Greater-Columbus Area to educate the public about the changing trends in trust planning, health care planning and the impact of the Affordable Care Act on seniors and those planning to retire in the near future.

My focus is in advanced trust and estate planning, utilizing specialized trusts and strategies to minimize taxes, avoid probate, reduce the impact of a long-term heath care crisis and protect inheritance for generations to come. I also lead the Estate Administration Department and work with heirs to access their inheritance, file Estate Tax returns and navigate the rigorous challenges of probate.

Effective estate planning is not a cookie-cutter business. I am always working to develop improved strategies and tailoring a customized plan for each family and each client.

Outstanding service
Ted Brown is compassionate, pleasant, thorough and has provided our family with expert advice and service. Every trip to the office is a pleasant experience. My mother is 90, and he has been patient with our questions and concerns. His attention to detail and gentle manner make handling difficult financial situations so much easier. Terrific Family Estate Service - First Rate
Ted provided legal assistance for my mother's estate in 2013 and 14. His advice was always well thought out and appropriate. As executor and dealing with death of my last parent there were family dynamics in play - and not always easily handled. Ted took them on in straight forward professional manner and always came to a satisfactory conclusion. I would highly recommend his legal services.

Review of Edward A Brown
I am glad we picked this particular Attorney for our Estate Planning. We had a lot of questions and he made us feel relaxed and part of the family. The followup on forms needing to be updated with insurance companies and futher post questions have been handled very fast and we have not had one bad experience.

Due to changes in my family, it was necessary to have the majority of my documents updated. Ted did a wonderful job of explaining everything it terms that I was able to understand. The best of the best, especially for newbies in the estate, probate, and planning stages
Ted Brown is excellent in every way. He is so patient and explanatory with me (I need it). He makes sure I understand before we go on to another area. He is very responsive and always answers my questions. He set up my family trust and another irrevokable trust-to-be. I trust him unconditionally.

Capable, Competent, and Compassionate

Setting up 3 Trusts, Family, Keystone (Home) & Investment Property Trust (Rentals)
Ted helped us through the setup of our trusts. He is very professional and has an excellent way of presenting the differences in the trusts, and how they had to be managed. He is an excellent speaker and responds to all the questions with the answers needed. We were very impressed.

Satisfied Client
We were looking for assistance in the VA field and they were able to help us that and more. They were very knowledgable and made Dad (age 93) feel comfortable with their services. Sincere, Trustworthy, Honest
Ted advised me regarding a legal dispute with my landlord as well as on some estate planning issues. He was very knowledgeable and patient, explaining how the process would work and what steps I needed to take to be prepared. He answered all of my questions in understandable ways but also provided more detail when needed. He counseled me through the entire process, step by step, and I felt extremely confident in his abilities and knowledge, and comfortable working with him. He also accommodated my busy schedule and responded to all of my calls and emails in very reasonable time frames. Ted was great to work with, friendly, punctual, patient and thoughtful, but he was also incredibly knowledgeable, and had spot-on insights. I would recommend him to anyone, and will definitely be using his services again.
