We represented Biological Mother in a custody matter. Child had the name of former partner (not a biological parent). Former partner sought custody rights to the child after the parties separated. M ... other objected, stating the the former partner lacked standing to bring the custody action. The Superior Court held that the trial court record in the case did not support a finding that the child recognized former partner as a significant person.
