This was a premises liability case. An employee of the Defendant pushed a cart loaded with supplies into the back of my client’s heel. My client’s Achilles tendon was partially severed. My client re ... quires numerous surgeries on her Achilles tendon and leg. She contracted an infection in her leg following one of the surgeries. It took over one year for the infection to be eradicated. My client’s leg never returned to normal. She was unable to walk long distances and she could not stand for any length of time. If she did, she suffered severe Charlie horses in her leg. The Charlie horses were so severe they often left bruises on her calf. The expert medical testimony established that her leg was never going to get better and that she faced a future of ongoing medical needs, including additional surgeries.

This was an automobile crash case. A garbage truck backed into my client's van with such violent force that the windows in the van were shattered. My client had immediate neck pain and was taken to t ... he hospital by ambulance. It was determined that my client had a severe injury to his neck and he required a multilevel cervical fusion. Following the surgery, my client's neck pain became much worse eventually causing him to lose his job. The Defendant claimed that my client could not have been hurt as bad as he claimed. The Defense attorney attempted to attack my client's character and reputation at trial. By the time of trial my client was facing homelessness. After a week and a half trial, the jury returned a verdict in favor of my client for the full amount of his past and future medical expenses, his past and future lost income, and past and future pain, suffering and disability.
