I am a native of Lyon County, Kentucky. Graduating with a business degree from the University of Kentucky in 1981, I was well prepared for enrollment in the Salmon P. Chase College of Law, Northern Kentucky University. I graduated in 1984, passed the bar exam and opened my office on West Main Street in Eddyville, Kentucky, where my office remains today. With over thirty years experience, my practice is rural in nature with five primary areas: Personal injury, real estate, probate and estate planning, bankruptcy and criminal. Most folk consider me to be user friendly and get fair service for a fair price.

Accident with Injury
I had an auto accident that resulted in an injury. The accident was the result of another driver's failure to obey traffic laws. Mr. Choat knew exactly what to do and walked me through the legal process.
"I endorse this lawyer. I would wholeheartedly recommend this attorney for any and all criminal charges in the State of Kentucky. Not only is he knowledgable about the defenses available for all criminal matters but his outgoing personality makes his clients feel more secure and lends him an added advantage with law enforcement and the Judges. Simply put, the man is a genius."
