Caleb Mack Nelson

The child of a military family, Caleb was born in Lakenheath, England and grew up living all over the southern United States. Caleb and his college sweetheart Julia have been happily married since 2016 and have one child.

With family roots in Western Kentucky, Caleb moved to Murray where he attended Murray State University receiving his Bachelor’s degree in History with a Minor in Agriculture. After completing his undergraduate degree, he attended law school at Southern Illinois University where he received Juris Doctorate Degree.

While in law school, Caleb served as the Secretary of the law school’s Federalist Society chapter and was a Member of the Southern Illinois Inns of Court. Additionally, while in school Caleb worked as a law clerk at the prominent defense firm of Brandon and Schmidt and as a Judicial Intern for the then Chief Justice of the Illinois Supreme Court, Lloyd A. Karmeier.

After law school, Caleb moved to Paducah where he began working as an intern at the Alford Law Office. Upon successful passage of the Kentucky Bar Exam, he began working as an associate attorney with his practice being primarily focused on family law litigation, civil and municipal law, and criminal defense work.

When not working, Caleb enjoys spending most of his free time outdoors hunting and fishing. Caleb also enjoys spending time with family trail riding and canoeing in the Ozark region of Missouri.
