Mr. Hayden owed back child support, but it was past the statute of limitations. The state's position was that it had a statutory assignment of the right to receive those funds and that it was not boun ... d by the limitations period. Mr. Hayden had already lost in the court of appeals. I helped his attorney write a petition for review to the Arizona Supreme Court, then I appeared as co-counsel and argued it, resulting in a reversal of the court of appeals in Mr. Hayden's favor.

The plaintiff convinced the trial court to ... grant a new trial on punitive damages and our defense motion for new trial was denied.
