Nick Maggard

Nick is a nationally recognized speaker, expert on a variety of estate planning and financial topics and founder of Maggard Elder Law, LLC.

As a sought after expert, mentor, and speaker within the legal community, Maggard has been called upon to speak on a number of estate planning topics by leading industry outlets and groups across the United States. Nick has been interviewed by the Wall Street Journal and Chicago Tribune as well as been noted in articles in Kiplinger, US World News and World Report, and Bankrate.

Nick started his legal career in 2008 as a special prosecutor. In 2009, he focused his practice on criminal prosecution and estate planning and became frustrated because so much of his time was tied to his legal career. He wanted more time with family while still serving his community as an attorney and a licensed insurance professional. In 2014, Nick discovered what he calls the “Shift” to becoming a “Top Attorney” in the legal and financial field. He continued to grow his firm and now speaks to hundreds of families and individuals, handling both their legal and financial needs, each year.

Nick has always had a passion for helping others find safety and peace of mind in setting up their custom estate plan. Having personally experienced the loss of a person most dear to him, he brings an elevated level of empathy and patience to his day-to-day work. He is now combining the knowledge and experience that has taken him to the top 1% of estate planning attorneys and is investing his life into the lives of his clients sharing his secrets and strategies on how to protect ones estate from probate, taxes, long term care expenses while still having the free time for family and other endeavors.

Nick is also a proud father to 2 beautiful girls and 2 amazing sons. Nick is married to his wife, Andrea, who is his best friend and partner of 16 years. Nick enjoys reading, boating, basketball, & walking.
