Biography
PERSONAL SIDE:
My wife, Shirley, and I have been married for 45 years. We have three adult children-- Rob, Maria, and Justin. All three are lawyers. Rob is the Commonwealth's Attorney, the elected felony prosecutor, for the 16th Judicial District of Kentucky. Maria manages our law firm, and teaches Yoga as a nationally certified instructor. Rob's wife, Delana, and our son, Justin, are partners in our firm. Maria's husband, Kal, is a partner in the Cincinnati firm of Keating, Meuthing & Klekamp. Our kids have blessed us with four grandchildren, two boys and two girls. We enjoy spending lots of time with our children and grandchildren. They are our best friends.
My main leisure time hobbies are motorcycling, off-roading Hummer trucks, and shooting sports. I have logged well over a half million miles on motorcycles since I began riding at age 16. My regular scoot is a 1992 Harley Heritage that I've owned since it was new. I have two Hummers--an H1 and an H2. The H1 is my main off-road ride, although I've also had the H2 off-road at Black Mountain and Windrock Mountain. I am an NRA Certified Range Safety Instructor. I shoot trap and sporting clays, pistols, rifles, and shotguns.
Shirley and I have a second home in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana. We are music fans and have attended the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival every year since the mid-1980s.
