THE BEST

As a licensed private investigator, I am familiar with the court system. I know how this process should work, and I know what good lawyers look like. Thomas Banks and his team helped me through one of the hardest times of my life. My case took a week's worth of trial time spread across multiple hear...ings over years. It involved a prenuptial and postnuptial agreement governed by Indiana law being litigated in Kentucky family court, and then appealed to the Kentucky Court of Appeals. Tom is licensed in both Indiana and Kentucky, which made his knowledge and experience essential. He argued both Indiana and Kentucky law at the same time, from family court all the way to the appellate court. There is absolutely no one more capable inside or outside of a courtroom when your family and your wellbeing are on the line. Tom was prepared, knowledgeable, and absolutely destroyed the opposing counsel and my ex-husband in court. Our judge saw my ex for what he is — a liar and a cheat. Tom litigated my case aggressively, protectively, and honestly. Tom thrives under pressure. That is when I found he does his best work. He walks into a city, a county, and a courtroom he has never set foot in and owns it. I know this because he did exactly that in my case. Thomas Banks is not a lawyer's lawyer. He is YOUR lawyer. Will McGee — it is abundantly clear that law and justice are his passion. It physically shows in every way when he is in the courtroom. He is confident, swift, and methodical. I watched Will completely embarrass a well-known, seasoned lawyer with over 20 years of experience who handles both civil and criminal cases in that lawyer's own hometown. Will did so swiftly and accurately, arguing the facts and blatantly calling out my ex-husband's lies. When Will first stepped into my case, he was early in his career. That did not slow him down for a second. Will knew my case, knew the laws, and defended it to the hilt. Responsive, patient, honest, and stern when the moment called for it. Kind and compassionate when times were hard. He has only gotten sharper since. Will is a go-getter! Over the years, I have watched everyone in this office work together as a team. When you walk in, you are greeted as a friend, not just a client. Everyone was always respectful and kind. When you retain this lawyer, you retain his whole firm and their experience. You become family. I am not an easy client. I am hands-on, I track every detail, and I push hard. But Tom and Will listened. When I made a case for something, they either added it or explained why they would not, and their reasons were sound. They never just agreed with me to make me happy. They used their judgment while still respecting that this is my life. I will forever be grateful to Tom, Will, and the rest of the team. I would not recommend anyone but Tom Banks and Will McGee for family law cases in all of Kentucky and Indiana. I cannot highly recommend this firm enough. The best lawyer I have ever met said this to me, and it is the reason I trust him with my life: "I have no issue with someone who fights for themselves — I do for those who don't." — Thomas E. Banks, II

Excellent Family Practice Attorney

Tom helped me get through my divorce. My ex-wife left and tried to take the kids. Tom helped me file for divorce and helped me keep my kids. The divorce took a little over a year and Tom was there to keep me ahead of the game through every turn in the road. He came very highly recommended. In fa...ct, our mediator claimed he was the best family practice lawyer in Louisville. I'm so thankful that I had Tom, because now I have my kids!
