James Thompson

My name is Nick Thompson, I was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, and am a 2006 graduate of St. Xavier High School. I attended Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and swam competitively on the Colonel’s Swimming and Diving Team. I received my J.D., graduating magna cum laude, from the Northern Kentucky University Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 2021.

I began my legal career in 2015, working as a paralegal for a well-respected Louisville personal injury law firm. Shortly after learning the foundations and skillsets useful for working in a law office, I enrolled in law school with the goal of helping victims of negligence as an attorney. I attended law school part-time in night classes while continuing to support my family and gain practical experience as a full-time working paralegal. My primary areas of practice include civil litigation of nursing abuse and neglect, medical malpractice, premises liability, and motor vehicle and trucking accidents.

In my free time, I enjoy cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats, exploring different cultures and regional cuisines with my wife and daughter, and golfing with my friends and family.
