R. Scott Wells

R. Scott Wells, a partner at Rushing & Guice, P.L.L.C., is a seasoned litigator with a strong focus on commercial law, banking law, corporate law, real estate, and personal injury cases. A graduate of Tulane University, Wells obtained his Bachelor of Arts in history with honors in 1988 before completing his Juris Doctorate with honors in 1990 through Tulane’s joint BA/JD degree program. With admissions to the Louisiana Bar in 1990 and the Mississippi Bar in 1992, Wells has extensive experience practicing law in both states and has been admitted to various federal courts. In 2017, he was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States in Washington D.C. Wells actively participates in local organizations, including serving on the boards of the Chamber of Commerce and Civitan organizations. Additionally, he is a member of several legal associations such as the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Mississippi Bankruptcy Conference, the Mississippi Bar, the Louisiana State Bar Association, and the Harrison County Bar Association. Wells has held leadership positions in the Harrison County Bar Association and the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce, demonstrating his commitment to both the legal profession and the local community.
