Extremely Disappointing Legal Representation I retained attorney William Jarrett Little to represent me in my divorce proceedings in Harrison County, Mississippi. My experience with his legal services was extremely disappointing. My greatest concern was the lack of communication and preparatio...n. Throughout his representation, Mr. Little never discussed with me the specific allegations my former spouse was making against me. I was completely unaware of the accusations that ultimately formed the basis of my divorce until I received the divorce decree. As a client, I expected my attorney to explain the allegations, discuss my defense, request my supporting evidence, and keep me informed about matters that could significantly affect my future. My attorney knew that financial hardship prevented me from traveling to Mississippi for the October 14, 2024, trial. Although he requested a continuance, the court denied it, and the proceedings continued without my testimony. I subsequently obtained the trial transcripts and discovered the seriousness of the allegations presented in court. I was deeply troubled that I had never been given an opportunity to discuss those accusations with my own attorney before trial. I understand that an attorney cannot guarantee a favorable outcome. However, I believe every client deserves meaningful communication, adequate preparation, and an opportunity to participate in their defense. My dissatisfaction is not simply about the outcome of my divorce. It concerns the quality of communication and representation I personally experienced. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend William Jarrett Little's legal services. I am giving this firm one star because I believe the representation fell far short of my reasonable expectations as a paying client.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
