Robert Gregg Mayer

Gregg Mayer’s practice focuses on business litigation, tort claims, intellectual property, First Amendment protection, and appeals. Listed by Mid-South Super Lawyers as a "Rising Star" in business litigation, Mr. Mayer has represented numerous companies in both state and federal court, including for vendor disputes, tort claims, contact breaches, and tax appeals. Mr. Mayer counsels individuals and businesses on IP (trademark and copyright) creation, protection, strategy and rights, including prosecution and defense of infringement actions. He has defended numerous media outlets and authors against allegations of defamation, and counsels media on prepublication review for libel and Mississippi’s Open Records/Open Meetings law. A coauthor of the Mississippi chapter in the ABA's guide to appellate practice, Mr. Mayer handles appeals from both the Mississippi state and federal courts. Before becoming a lawyer, Mr. Mayer worked for several years as an award-winning journalist in Mississippi.
