This was a critical issue because every one of... Stephen Daniel Sanders’ assets and properties is located in Kentwood, Louisiana, making the Louisiana judgment the key to enforcement. Despite knowing this, Mr. Drinkwater repeatedly refused to take the steps necessary to correct the Louisiana judgment or move the case toward a Judgment Debtor Examination. After I paid thousands in fees, he added the interest to my Mississippi judgment and then abruptly dropped my case around Christmas and New Year’s, right when enforcement was finally possible. The stress caused by his withdrawal and refusal to act was so severe that I was hospitalized on February 1st. His timing left me without representation during the most critical stage of enforcement and ultimately benefited the judgment debtor, who has avoided accountability for years. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Mr. Drinkwater for judgment enforcement or debtor examinations. The lack of urgency, refusal to correct essential filings, and abandonment at a crucial moment were professionally unacceptable.
