Monique and her staff are truly the best in the field. She not only provided excellent legal counsel, she was also personable and made me feel like she truly cared and me as well as my children. We will be forever thankful for her and her staff for putting our life back together when everything was falling apart.

Her office is unorganized. She constantly answered the phone and had people in and out of her office during our meetings. I finally had to hire another lawyer. He couldn't use any of the documents Brown-Barrett had prepared because they were so "inartfully drafted". We had to completely start over.

This attorney has much knowledge of the law. However, she doesn't act on what she says she will do. I went 3 months with no income because of her inability to get things scheduled with the court. She consistany put other cases before mine. She was never on time with meeting. One meeting I was at here office 15 minutes early and meeting did not start until 20 minutes past scheduled time. I watched for 20 minutes as she decided moving file boxes in her storage room was more important than my scheduled appointment. Another meeting I was in her office for 3 hours while she conferred with another client even to the point of getting up and leaving my appointment to talk to this other client. Three hours and she spent maybe 20 minutes with me discussing my case. During this meeting she also had one of the judges deputies drop by to discuss something she was handling for him for free. She said she was doing so in order to get an earlier court date for my court date. This was early September, my court date assigned was January 15, 2015. I guess she is a master at puffing things up to make it appear she has pull with the court. Very dissatisfied with lack of action on her part. She held my money for depositions, hiring of private investigator for 6 months without doing anything I gave her the money for. Very poor ability to follow through with obligations.
