Not the one I would recommend.

I hired Richard to represent me in getting an Certificate of Rehabilitation. For my first court appearance, I missed work and drove 3 hours to court while he was in a completely different city and claimed he mistakenly got the cities mixed up. In regards to communication, if I or my wife did not init...iate it, it didn't happen. Throughout the entire 8 months my case was active with him, he only initiated a conversation the day before or the day of just to either apologize or tell me court was off. Never was I contacted in advance! My last scheduled court appearance was on March 8, 2021. I contacted his office on Friday March 5 to confirm and was told via email court was confirmed for the 8th at 1:00 pm. I arrive at court to find out it was yet again cancelled. The excuse I was given was that the judge was reassigned to another position. How is it that court was confirmed on the 6th but on the 8th cancelled? This was the third cancelled/rescheduled court appearance in 8 months. Richard was hired to represent me in July 2020. After months of going through this, my wife and I decided to reach out to the Bar Association for assistance as I felt something just wasn't right with my representation and the run around/excuses I was given. The Bar Association advised me to submit a request for an itemized statement and refund. The request was submitted on March 8, 2021. After again reaching out to them on more than one occasion, I finally received the statement and partial refund on March 25, 2021. My "reflected" attorney fees were noted as $2,270.00 in which $1,200.00 was billed on March 8 (the same day of the cancelled court date that did not take place) for 6 hours of work talking with the courts. How is this possible when court was scheduled at 1:00 pm and their office closes at 5:00. Richard sat outside and talked with myself and my wife for at least an hour about what happened before departing the premises hisself. I hired Richard Noel to represent me as I feel I have proven to society that I am a rehabilitated and changed man. I served my time, paid my debt to society, and have been a law abiding citizen since my release in 2011. I did not receive proper representation and feel that I was mislead and basically paid for nothing. I strongly do not recommend him to anyone seeking fair and adequate representation.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals.
