I am practicing in a family firm that dates back well over a hundred years. My primary work has been in the courtroom, in both civil and criminal cases, in both federal and state court. I have extensive extensive experience handling appeals in federal and state court, appealling in dozens of cases before the Mississippi Supreme Court and Courts of Appeal, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and in cases before the Sixth Circuit, and the United Sttes Supreme Court.
I also am a law-related blogger; on my blog, , topics include developments in Mississippi law and legal stories of interest in the region. Other interests of mine, including southern history, culture, food, and music, also come up regularly.
Our law firm's history includes connections with William Faulkner, whose mentor, Phil Stone, practices in the firm.
