Level Headed Advisor
When I found out I was getting divorced, I was a wreck...Ben was recommended by a friend. Ben was understanding and direct about my situation. As a project manager who had never worked with a lawyer on personal needs, "I needed to know certain things...", Ben helped me understand the path ahead and...

Morally and Legally Trustworthy
Ben Murphy goes beyond the call of his job. He has represented our family several times. Our situation was by far abnormal. While there were times we started to lose faith, Ben never did. He always fights for what is right and what is deserved. He stands firm in his morals and belief in the justi...

Absolutely horrible experience
I hired Ben and quickly fired him after I was insulted during my consultation with him. He treated me like I was guilty from the start as he acted like he did not care about the facts of the situation. To add insult to injury he kept the retainer fee of $3000 for multiple weeks after he was physica...
Keith, You did not seem to be insulted after our consultation, and I did not act like your were guilty from the start. In fact, you hired me immediately after our consultation was over. If I acted as you say, I doubt you would have hired me. Yes, you informed me that you were hiring another attorney after I already entered my appearance with the Court and reviewed your case. As I told you, according to the Rules of Criminal Procedure, after entering my appearance as your counsel, I am unable to withdraw without the permission of the court. Your "new" attorney presented me with an order to sign for him to substitute in as your attorney. Once I was provided a copy of this Order signed by the judge, I immediately issued a partial retainer of your fee. It was a partial retainer because I spent my time reviewing your case, and I was precluded from taking other cases or working on other cases due to the time spent on yours. The fee you paid was a flat fee and is normally non-refundable. However, I believe it is proper to refund you the part that I feel was not earned. Attorneys do not typically keep itemized statements for flat fee cases. I apologize if you think you were done wrong, however, I feel that I was abiding by the rules by which I am required to follow.
