Don't waste your money or time!

This is the most unprofessional attorney's office I've ever seen or heard of. When I was denied social security disability for the second time after a car wreck left me unable to provide for my family I took my case to Mrs Vance. She assured me she would file an appeal and felt confident that I had ...a legal and legitimate claim. When I left her office that day I felt I had made the right choice and found someone who would act on behalf of my best interest. BOY WAS I MISTAKEN! That was the one and only time I seen or spoke with her. Any communication after that was always through her husband which is VERY unprofessional! After several months of leaving messages, and getting the run around and dealing with the Social Security Office MYSELF I decided to speak with another attorney. The attorney done more on the phone than Vance did in months! Come to find out she didn't file my appeal on time and I've lost all my back time! Money I deserved and need for my family. I wouldn't recommend Bobby Vance to my worst enemy.

baffled

Was recommended as a strong attorney to me when I needed an attorney. Bobby told me about how she used to teach Law at Oxford. Tooted her horn but that was ok. Quoted a fee and it was considerably higher when all was done. Just disappointed in her unprofessional way she conducted business when it ca...me to paperwork trails and listening to me as a client when I gave specifics of what I had requested her to do. Has baffled me when she said she had tried to contact me with questions and I wondered why she left no messages, texts, voicemails, emails , or even certified mail had found it's way to me ? Instead of working for me, listening to my requests, and guiding me I was baffled at how uncooperative to me she was. Instead of feeling I could trust her as I thought upon hiring her I felt bullied and ready to agree/ give in to" whatever" just for her to go away and I can get on with my life. I have had other attorneys I have used in my past, for wills, a previous divorce, a land survey attorney all in the various states I have lived in and all have guided me and done the job I asked. I was satisfied upon completion of business with them . This one I can say I have been absolutely baffled at the way she has conducted the job I hired her to do. Certainly not the way I expected or asked her to do. Just very very disappointed and baffled why someone even advised me to go hire her. I am not trying to be spiteful or hostile but someone needs to let others know if they need an attorney for a divorce that will make them feel like they are working for them and they wont have to walk on egg shells afraid if they make her mad as she will keep dragging it out and raising the bill ...they better look elsewhere. I am still baffled as to what happened to our client attorney relationship. I guess chalk it up as stupidity on my part that there are lawyers like this. Is there somewhere that evaluates these old attorneys? Hopefully I will never need a divorce lawyer again. Never go to her for advice again. Just baffled as to what kind of attorney I hired and question if she really knew what she was doing and if it was the best for me. Communication really needs to be improved and when confronted her on it questioned myself did she try to get in touch and couldnt as she claimed and I am sorry there were too many ways that she could have and a trail would have been left to me if she did. It simply was not true that she had tried to communicate with me and was unsuccessful. The fact is she flat out didnt try until I got in touch with her to ask what was taking so long and what is happening with the case. I guess in reflecting on this that is when she seemed to begin to be spiteful towards me. Crazy. Yes I think I am still baffled as to what kind of attorney I hired.
