Born and raised in Giles County, my roots in this community run deep, and they are the foundation of my legal practice. My grandfathers, though different, instilled in me the core principles that guide my work today. My father's father, who owned a service station in Pulaski, taught me the importance of treating everyone fairly and seeing every person as an opportunity to help. My mother's father, a successful businessman and community investor, showed me the value of careful planning and protection. These two principles—fairness and foresight—are the pillars of my practice.
My path to becoming an attorney was not a straight line, but every step was a lesson that prepared me. From youth sports to high school athletics to earning all-conference academic honors at Martin Methodist, I learned discipline and the importance of hard work. My time as a territorial sales manager taught me the financial realities and demands of running a business, while teaching and coaching honed my ability to adapt, persuade, and manage diverse groups of people. My most challenging role came when I started law school at night, driving to Nashville several times a week while teaching during the day and raising three children. This chapter of my life forged a resilience that I bring to every case and every client.
While in law school, I began working as a legal assistant, handling everything from divorces and personal injury to criminal cases and property disputes. I honed my skills and passion for litigation, which culminated in a unique opportunity even before I passed the bar exam. I became the first in Tennessee to argue a case before the Court of Appeals on a limited practice license, successfully convincing the court to rule in our client’s favor. After graduating salutatorian of my class and giving the commencement speech, I passed the bar and have since successfully tried cases in General Sessions, Chancery, Circuit, Probate, and Appellate Courts across Tennessee.
Fueled by a passion to help people protect their freedoms and futures, my legal practice combines tenacious litigation with proactive planning. I defend individuals accused of crimes, get retribution for those who have been injured by the carelessness of others, and guide families through the process of protecting their assets and ensuring their legacy is handled with care. Just as my own grandfather's estate was handled peacefully and seamlessly, I help clients and their families avoid the conflicts of litigation. I am dedicated to providing the guidance and protection that every family deserves.

Mr. Laxson fought against one of the biggest named lawyers in our area and the Department of Children Services to get us our grandkids.
