About:

Teresa A. Luna is an Member in the Spragins, Barnett & Cobb Litigation Group. Although her practice is broad, her key areas of concentration are personal injury, commercial litigation, employment law, estate planning, education law, and municipal law.

Mrs. Luna graduated from Union University, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in English and History. Mrs. Luna also received an M.S. degree in Counseling from the University of Memphis in 1982, graduating magna cum laude. Mrs. Luna graduated, magna cum laude, from the Nashville School of Law with a Juris Doctorate in 2007, ranking 3rd in a class of 133.

Before and during law school, Teresa Luna worked as a public school teacher for 20 years. First with the Crockett County School System and then the Jackson-Madison County School System. Mrs. Luna had a distinguished career receiving numerous awards including: Tennessee Teacher of the Year, 2000; USA Today Top Twenty Teachers in America, 2002; Recognized at White House as Distinguished Teacher of the Year, 1995; Union University Distinguished Alumnus Award, 2003; Jackson-Madison County Teacher of the Year, 2000; Jackson-Madison County Teacher of the Year, 2007; and Recognized by the Council for Christian Colleges as Top 21 Alumni of the Year, 2004. In 2010 Mrs. Luna received the Union University Alumni Distinguished Achievement Award. Mrs. Luna was also the coach of the Madison Academic High School and Jackson Central-Merry High School Academic Decathlon Teams, winning two National Championships, as well as eleven consecutive state titles.

Mrs. Luna is admitted to practice before the Tennessee Supreme Court, all Tennessee trial and appellate courts, the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, and the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals. Mrs. Luna is a member of the Jackson-Madison County Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.

Mrs. Luna resides in Jackson, Tennessee, with her husband, Tony Luna. They are members of the Englewood Baptist Church. Mrs. Luna and her husband have two grown children and three grandchildren.

Extremely Supporitve
When I first arrived at Mrs Luna's office I was broken, confused and I believed my rights were violated. I was facing a corporate giant but she was up for the challenge. Mrs Luna was very thorough and did her job to the fullest. I was under the impression that I had bitten off more than I could chew but she was not afraid. She never hesitated to tell me what we could or could not do. She has been my lawyer for the past 4 yrs and I strongly recommend her and her team. Discrimination is a very hurtful thing to encounter and it takes courage to take a stand. Sometimes courage alone may not do it but with someone like Mrs. Luna in your corner your chances are much better.

What a blessing!
The misfortune of a family member growing old is a sad day that we must all experience. When my time came to deal with my moms,trust, will and the estate I turned to Teresa. I had known her as such a outstanding teacher many years before she went to law school and then she came highly recommended when I was desperately needing help for my mom. After the first visit mom and I knew this was the wisest choice we could have made. She was so easy to work with and hit the ground running with our concerns and needs. God had answered our prayers when we found her. She treats others with dignity and heart of a stewardship.

Teresa Luna- strong recommendation
Ms. Luna represented me in hotly contested litigation that involved multiple areas of law. She was always thinking ahead and preparing for any possible move by our opponents. She was also very effective with our trial judge. I would highly recommend her as an attorney either in litigation or in assisting clients with complicated legal problems.

Ms. Luna is fantastic
My business partner and I were involved in a very complex business divorce that involved literally over 10,000 pages of documents, outrageous defense tactics and was all out war. Ms. Luna was always prepared, always knew the appropriate law, or at least what needed to be asked, and kept a level head when others about her were losing theirs. She was the steadying force on what was a roller coaster ride of litigation and emotions. If you need legal assistance, you cannot afford to hire anyone else.

Teresa Luna is the very best attorney you could ever have on your side. If you feel you have been discriminated against, harassed, not treated equally by your employer. Mrs Luna is who you need on your side. Not only will she go above and beyond to fight for your rights, she was there for me. She was never too busy to answere questions, call me right back, email me right back. I went through the hardest time of my life with this attorney. Being an attorney isn't just a job to her, you can tell she has a passion for what she does and it shows. She always took the time. She is very thorough. She is an amazing attorney and person. She has every quality you want in an attorney, and has determination. I really believe there isn't a case to big or too small. She can handle it. Exceptional
I felt Teresa Luna to be a more than exceptional lawyer. She cares about her clients. I felt as though I was being treated by family. She went above and beyond in what was necessary. When it felt like my case was hopeless, she remained with me and fought all the way through for 4 years and was very successful on my case.
