James Perry Esq.

James Perry is a Senior Associate Attorney in the firm’s Springfield, Missouri office. James brings a diverse legal background spanning litigation, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and legal research. His broad experience across private practice, government, and corporate environments has equipped him with a thoughtful and analytical approach to serving clients.

James earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, where he earned a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law, served as a Staff Editor for the John Marshall Review of Intellectual Property Law, and received multiple academic honors and scholarships. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Tennessee. He is licensed to practice law in Missouri and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.

Throughout his legal career, James has represented clients in a variety of litigation matters involving legal research, motion practice, discovery, trial preparation, and case management. He has also owned and operated his own intellectual property law practice, where he represented clients in trademark, copyright, and related legal matters.

Earlier in his career, James served in legal and regulatory roles with government agencies and private organizations, where he developed experience in compliance, policy analysis, contract matters, and legal writing. His background also includes engineering and federal regulatory work, providing him with a unique perspective on complex legal issues.
