Not happy

My boy friend has been trying to get a divorce since March of 2015. Mr. Rich burnt through the retainer fairly fast. He bills for every little thing it seems like even short emails. He is not aggressive at all. He talks down to my boy and has even scolded him on a couple occasions. He has gone into th...is divorce with him as though they were losing from day one. He has not actually fought for my boyfriend even a little. He's has to turn in a ridiculous amount of info to his wife's lawyer while my Rich has not requested anything from her/her lawyer. My boy friend has requested motions to be made on his behalf and they requests are straight up ignored and never explained why nothing was done. We dare not call him, one he is VERY hard to get a hold of and when you do get him on the phone he acts aloof and as though you are wasting his time that you are paying for. Over all he has been a rude, you know what, and has not fought for us at all.

the trufth

Im currently goin through a divorce using him to represent me. It been 10 months now!! This is not a contested case but Mr rich is very hard to get a hold of. He was 20 min late to my mediation even. He burns through ur retainer within a month and sends u a letter (very poorly itemized) stating from ...this point the hourly rate will accrue Rapidly! He is not a agrressive attorney if u need one that will play ball if u know what I mean. I havent seen my kids in over 3 months and I keep getting excuses from mr rich on what is going on. Then he goes to court without telling me or talking to me about it. Is this the type of attorney u want to represent u? I hope not... Thank you

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
