Crass, threatening, untethical and predatory actions

I retained Daniel Lofton in December 2025 and paid approximately $2,900 to assist with multiple civil judgment matters. Throughout the representation, I was led to believe that my legal issues were being handled and that action was being taken on my behalf. However, despite months of assurances, I ul...timately became subject to wage garnishment. My primary concern was communication. From January through May 2026, I repeatedly requested updates by phone, email, text, and in person, but often received little or no meaningful response. After the garnishment occurred, I learned through court records that no action had been filed in one of my matters until after the garnishment had already taken place. This was deeply concerning given the repeated assurances that my case was being addressed. What was most troubling was the lack of urgency and concern shown after the garnishment occurred. Rather than receiving clear answers about why action had not been taken sooner or what steps would be taken moving forward, discussions repeatedly returned to requests for additional money and fee disputes. When I attempted to discuss delays, communication issues, and the impact the garnishment had on me financially, I felt dismissed, interrupted, and talked over. I was also promised an invoice and my client file, neither of which I received. As a result, I retained new counsel immediately because I no longer felt confident that my interests were being adequately protected. My concerns are not about guaranteed outcomes. They are about communication, transparency, responsiveness, and professionalism during a very stressful period of my life. My husband is more upset than I am because he advised me against any further payments or conversations.
