Laura accepted my case through the legal aid office. Honestly, I was expecting the lawyer who accepted my case Pro Bono would also treat me as a non-paying client. It was quite the opposite! Besides not being able to pay , I really didn’t know all the things I needed to know about being my broth...er’s conservator. Laura was so knowledgeable. When I didn’t understand some things I’d ask , and she would take the time to explain to me until she knew I understood. Once Laura begin working with my brother and I she was quick to realize of how my brother and I came to being in this situation. My mother took care of my brother his entire life until she died. My brother is an adult with disabilities and lives in a group home. Before her death we talked about what needed to be done in the event of her death. I am so thankful for Laura ! Her understanding of the law , how to explain it , and her guidance through the court system led to a success outcome. Thank you so very much.
