James Howard Kevin Lawrence

James is a Christian Lawyer, specializing in Elder Law, Wills, Trusts, Estates and Probate matters. 

He is a graduate from Lincoln Memorial University's Duncan School of Law in Knoxville, Tennessee, graduating cum laude. While in law school, James served simultaneously as Associate Editor for the Law Review and Vice President of the Moot Court Board. He also served as a faculty research assistant.  

J Law is a published author, with a chapter in Perspectives on Capital Punishment in America: edited by Charles E. MacLean, found here. His chapter is on how prospective jurors' First Amendments Rights to Freedom of Religious Expression are violated when prosecutors strike them from the jury pool because of their religious opposition to the death penalty.  

Mr. Lawrence holds a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. He also lived and studied overseas at St. John's College of Durham University in Durham, England, where he studied Moral Philosophy, Systematic Theology, and Islamic Studies.

James is an active member of the West Park Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he currently plays french horn as part of the music ministry of his church and has served as a Sunday School Teacher and Deacon. 

James' wife, Lara is a professional piano player and they have six children, ranging in age from fifteen to twenty-seven.
