A few years ago, our family made a heartfelt decision of reaching beyond our four walls and becoming a resource home for foster children. Little did we know that the unthinkable awaited us. At the end of that initial meeting, he completely took the reins, and we gratefully relinquished them, breathing a great sigh of relief as we did so. As the months passed and the agency continued to bear down on our home, Mr. Barnett was there at every turn. We didn't always get the return calls from his office in answer to our many questions, but we eventually realized that he knew exactly what he was doing. When we needed to know something, he would contact us. He never let us down. He even went out of his way to gain a signature from us once when time had all but run out, due to a waylaid piece of mail. He showed such poise in dealing with a situation which was completely daunting to us. Sometimes, it was difficult to keep heart, but the reviews on Mr. Barnett had been very good and his overall ratings were high. We just needed to wait it out. And then the day came. A letter arrived in our mailbox, stating that the allegations had been dropped and the charges had been dismissed! We were overjoyed!
