Autumn Marie Bowling

     Autumn is a sole practitioner in Knox County, Tennessee who has owned her own firm since becoming licensed in 2021. She exclusively practices criminal defense in Knox County and surrounding counties. Autumn handles all types of criminal matters including traffic tickets, misdemeanors, DUIs, and high level felonies. She is admitted to practice in federal court for the Eastern District of Tennessee. As a solo, your matters are personally handled by Autumn and all communication is directly with her as your attorney.
     Autumn is a 2021 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law where she was a member of the Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law and a two-semester member summer intern member of the transactional law student clinics. During her time in these transactional clinics, Autumn handled business law matters for non-profits, small business, and other local entrepreneurs including drafting corporate governance documents, amending bylaws, forming entities, and trademark applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Her time spent in these clinics earned her the Jerry P. Black, Jr. Student Clinic Attorney Award. While Autumn does not handle transactional matters in her everyday practice, her time spent on these matters affords her a unique perspective and understanding of defenses for white collar and other criminal charges related to business transactions.
     During law school, Autumn worked for a local criminal defense attorney and was afforded the opportunity to work on serious criminal matters including appeals from murder convictions, the constitutionality of complex criminal statutes, and DOE "Q" clearance revocation proceedings. Her internships during law school were practical in nature and prepared her for immediate practice in the local criminal courts. This practical training is the core of her practice, allowing her to navigate tricky and delicate criminal matters with confidence and zealous advocacy to ensure you are receiving the best outcome possible.
     Autumn is from Milan, Indiana and graduated from Indiana University in 2018 with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Spanish. During her time at IU, she volunteered as a mediator at the Community Justice and Mediation Center in Bloomington, Indiana, assisting its clients with Victim-Offender Restoration and supervising the Shoplifting Theft and Education Prevention diversion program for first-time shoplifting offenders.
