Doug represented me almost 30 years ago regarding issues related to property development. Everything has been fine until last week when a new administration, with a new city attorney, has decided that it wants to shake things up by taking a completely different view than Doug and my other previous a...ttorney took. The City now contends by this new posture that over 30 years of development is in violation of the law. After all legal avenues were exhausted, including appeals, Doug informed me the City of Gatlinburg had waived its police powers and I no longer needed building permits. I was very concerned before I undertook remodeling downtown Gatlinburg property with no permit. The Building officials got involved and certainly could not require me to get building permits for 30 years. Nobody should be exposed to this. What now Doug?

This lawyer came recommended to me. I went to his office dropped my file and a $2,500 security deposit. When I finally heard back from him, he was rude.
