Christopher Shawn Roberts

Shawn Roberts is the very worst attorney I have ever been in contact with. He was representing me in a custody case concerning my child. He did not return phone calls, he refused to bring necessary pretrial motions before the court, he allowed for my parental rights to trampled by the opposing party... and refused to file a contempt motion. The quick partial change in attitude of the opposing party after every time I actually did get to speak with him(tho he was very wishy washy and shady acting), suggested to me that this attorney may even be capable of conspiring against his court clients, just to get them off his appointment list. He claimed to have spoken multiple times with the GAL in my child's case, yet was very indirect wih me concerning the converstaion between them. When I asked for his bar number to try to resolve the issue, this attorney quickly got himself before the judge and withdrew himself from my case, though he claimed neither he nor the judge had time to hear the contempt motion for 3 months straight. I would never recommend this joke of an attorney to anybody looking for someone that truly cares for their clients or their clients' children. I filed a formal complaint against this attorney last month and have yet to hear anything back from the state of Tennessee BAR. When he met with the new attorney appointed to represent me, he gave the new attorney my file but did not provide the new attorney with the hard evidence I had submitted to him prior to use in my case. If it were possible to give this attorney zero stars on this review I most definitely would.
