Honest Bob Wilkinson

I hired Mr. Wilkinson to represent me in a disputed probate case. He failed to take actions I directed him to take ,and instead spent an inordinate amount of time on insignificant issues, resulting in unnecessary hourly charges for him and the opposing attorney. He failed to present pertinent evide...nce about appeals court rulings on the ownership of a co-owned bank checking account, resulting in me losing over $14,000. His explanation for refusing to file one motion I directed him to file was that he had other cases before the same judge and was not going to file anything on my behalf that would make the judge angry. He then filed a motion to withdraw, leaving me without representation during a critical phase of the hearings.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
