Hilary Hayes W Burgin

I had a very hard time getting in touch with her. The case drug on for over 2 years due to her unorganized office and her ignoring paperwork etc although she billed as though she was consistently working on the case. There were postponements which I was not notified of and did not approve. There wer...e even a couple of missed court deadlines which I feel cost me in the case. She is nice in meetings and seems genuine, but her effectiveness is just not in the best interest of clients.

I can say this, Hilary has been more than fair and represented me well so far. I've been dealing with Hilary for over a year now on a divorce. Needles to say, she has charged me appropriately and less than she should have. I have a wife I'm trying to divorce who continues to lie, her lawyer abuses... contacting my lawyer in an effort to run up my bill. However, Hilary but the kibosh on that. She communicates enough, if you want to be overcharged, don't make frivolous contact to an attorney. She communicates effectively and timely. I only need the facts and no fluff, I didn't hire her as a counselor or to vent. Stick to your business and save money. I am more than pleased with the fact she has charged me for her work and no more. Want a counselor or to play silly games, find someone else, this woman takes a business aspect to her cases, is aggressive, and well perfect for me. Approach your case like a business transaction, stick the facts, don't do stupid stuff, don't be frivolous, and this woman will absolutely make you never regret using her. Know why I'm comfortable going a month without talking to my attorney? Because there is nothing for her to tell me. The law moves slooooow. I don't need a $30 email to tell me nothing is happening...I'd hire her for anything law related!!!

Worst choice I ever made. Still suffering bad consequences from having her lacking representation in my divorce. DO NOT HIRE. Did not fight for me. My instincts kept telling me this. But I was not experienced in dealing with attorneys. Very disappointing. Her office is extremely unorganized. That s...hould have told me something from the beginning.

Hilary took my case and it did take years due to my ex dragging things out. However, in the end good prevailed. She was never in it for the money and stood behind my daughter and I even when she had to be losing money. She truly helped to change our lives for the better and I will forever be grateful.... Thank you Hilary for always having my back and being very thoughtful, and on top of that remembering my favorite flavor of Starbucks. I could not have asked for a better attorney and truly a good person. My daughter has grown to be strong and cares about others also. - A very satisfied client giving over 5 stars!!!

Ms. Burgin is almost impossible to get in touch with and rarely returns calls or emails. My case also drug on way past when it should have. Ms. Burgin and her staff misrepresented the fees on numerous occasions and they can never seem to be on the same page. I was grossly overcharged for the very lim...ited service that I received.
