Olen Haynes Jr. is a graduate of Wofford College, cum laude, and the University of Tennessee College of Law in Knoxville, cum laude. Mr. Haynes began his law practice in the United States Navy ‘JAG’ Corps, refining his trial skills while prosecuting federal criminal cases, with much of his work focused on the criminal prosecution of those responsible for sexual crimes against children.
After 'JAG', Mr. Haynes began his private practice with Arnold, Haynes & Sanders, focusing his practice on trial work, including medical malpractice, auto/truck/motorcycle accidents, product liability, and structural defects. Mr. Haynes has been selected as one of the Mid South Super Lawyers, Rising Stars ® in Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury. He is a member of the U.S. District Court attorney admission review Committee, Federal and Tennessee Bar Associations, and the Tennessee and American Associations for Justice. In 2010, Mr. Haynes was chosen to receive the BOPP “Victim’s Voice Award” in recognition of victim advocacy for the State of Tennessee, District I.
With over 12 years of trial and litigation experience, Mr. Haynes remains actively involved in the community and his church. He has served as an Elder, Sunday school teacher, and Deacon. He is immediate past chairman of the board of directors for the Children’s Advocacy Center of the first judicial district. Mr. Haynes is an avid runner, and also enjoys weight training and spending time with his wife and children. Mr. Haynes is a partner in the firm and practices in both state and federal courts.
