Lenders, businesses and individuals who are secured or unsecured creditors count on Bruce Bailey to protect their interests in business bankruptcies, including financing arrangements, reorganization plans, the use of cash collateral and asset sales. Bruce’s litigation experience includes enforcing creditors’ rights in guarantees, real and personal property foreclosures, and defending preference and fraudulent transfer claims. Recently, Bruce helped a client purchase a significant portion of Hostess’ business in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, and assisted another client in defending a preference claim for nearly $2 million dollars in the Eastern District of Tennessee.
Bruce focuses on his clients’ business goals to provide cost-efficient representation. For more than 30 years, he has handled commercial litigation in bankruptcy courts around the country and in state and federal courts in Georgia and Tennessee.
