Lawrence Andrew Simons

I was connected with Mr. Simons for a free 30 Minute consultation through my Employer's Legal Assist program. I had already read some of these other reviews about his unprofessionalism and rude character, however I was willing to see for myself. After providing the information via a handwritten quest...ionnaire (he was specific about that) and the documents he had requested, he called me out of the blue while I was at work (didn't schedule the 30 minute consultation) and proceeded to berate me for 10 minutes about how my case is "messy", that I was "unreasonable" and even with the best attorney I would "never be satisfied" and he would therefore decline my case. I never said a word the entire time, just listened to him rant. For those ten minutes, it felt like being back in the marriage with my abusive ex-husband. When I asked him if I could at least ask his advice on next steps as far as what to file with the judge to let them know I'd like a continuance of a scheduled hearing to find an attorney, he said "I don't piece-meal, you haven't retained me, I'm not giving you any legal advice", at which point I terminated our call. Mr Simons, Sir, I understand that you couldn't possibly know or understand the full details of my case and the pain and emotional distress that I have endured, but I do expect you to be a better person. If you are a DV Victim, I would suggest steer clear of this Lawyer, unless you want to be triggered.

I had a consultation with this guy, and he was quick to anger. He was rude, and would interrupt me mid sentence with lines like, "I think you have a misunderstanding of situation" I would attempt to explain and he would again cut me off. After I said something, he would then use like like, "So what y...ou're telling me is. . ." and then he would insert argumentative statements that were not what I just said or a correct summary of my talking points. I would stay away from this guy, he seems verbally abusive to his clients, which might result in him putting blame on his clients when he failed them.
