poor communicator

I hired her in April 2021. I explained to her how my previous attorney wouldn't communicate about my case, wouldn't return my calls or emails, and how she didn’t submit some documentation. She assured me to my face that day before I hired her that she would communicate with me. She even showed me in ...the contract that it’s her job to communicate with me and my job to communicate with her. From April until August, we didn't talk because I was waiting until I had my baby. I contacted her in August several times, she finally contacted me back a few weeks later close to September. I remember sounding frustrated on the call with her due to her very delayed response time. She told me “You should be nicer to me; I gave you a discount and you are taking away from my other clients!" Wtf! The second time I ever saw her was in December at court. She didn’t know who i was, but I waved at her once she entered the court room. She never came to talk or pull me out to debrief, never discussed what to expect before court. She requested documentation a week before court. I asked if she looked at it, she said no! WTF! So, the next court date was rescheduled. I was never informed! I showed for court and none of the other parties was there, so I texted her telling her I was there. She then informed me that it was rescheduled. I told her I wasn’t informed at all. She didn’t say “I’m sorry or I apologize” or anything. 2 days ago, she texts me “check your email.” I did and there were 2 attachments, no explanation, nothing typed in the email, just the attachments. I texted her asking what the documents were and could she explain. No reply, no explanation, nothing. I was scheduled for court yesterday, it sleeted, and metro schools was closed so I assumed court was closed too so I didn’t go. She called me at 9:50, court started at 10. I told her I thought court was closed. Instead of her having the court date rescheduled, which should have happened anyway, the hearing went on. I told her to withdraw from my case. This attorney wasn’t a good attorney to me. Very uncaring, unprofessional, unempathetic. She did the exact same thing as my 1st attorney! Find a good attorney who will communicate and keep you up to speed about your case because she’s not the one.

Hello, I am sorry you are not a happy person. I know you are upset about the judge's ruling, but I told you by several text messages that morning that you needed to be in court that morning. I did not have an answer for you at 7:00 a.m. when you asked, because I had to wait for the Court to open up that morning to call and confirm whether the judge was holding hearings that morning due to the previous night's inclement weather. When I learned at 8:12 a.m. that morning from the Court that the judge was holding hearings, I immediately informed you multiple times. I then called you from the courthouse at 9:30 a.m. where it sounded like I woke you up. You then verbally assaulted me on the phone and I told you I can't represent people who verbally abuse me like that and informed you that I would be withdrawing from representing you, due to your failure to follow instructions as you agreed to in the Attorney/Client Agreement. I asked you to be there by at least 10:00 a.m. The judge called your case at 10:15 a.m. and you were not there, when everyone else was. Because you did not come, the judge struck your motion. There is no need to trash me on the internet because you didn't come to court that morning and the judge struck your motion. I hope your THIRD attorney can make you happy.

She did a great job.

I called Hannah Pelham on a holiday weekend. She actually called me back on Memorial Day! My husband and I were in a very tight spot concerning our grandchildren. We needed to intervene for grandparent visitation in a hurry. Mrs.Pelham understood and was very sympathetic to our cause. She jumped int...o gear and had our motion filed immediately. She worked hard for us. Unfortunately she was unable to finish our case because she moved. Before she moved she made sure we had a new attorney based on a referral. She met with our new attorney got him up to speed on our case. The transition was seamless. She was great to work with and I wish her the best in her new location. Sincerely, Pat LF

Child Custody Case

I contacted Mrs. Pelham for my daughter and granddaughter when I realized my daughter was being bullied and controlled by the paternal grandparents. When my daughter would not do what the father or grandparents wanted they continued to threaten her in more ways then one. For any man or women to be ...in a controlling relationship is bad enough but when a child is involved makes this even worse. Whatever the case may be Mrs. Pelham has put my daughter at ease. My daughter is a young mother so this has been a very scary and overwhelming case as it can be at any age. Mrs. Pelham wants what is best for my grandchild and daughter and has continued to try to keep peace and mediation between both parties. Although in our case the other party hired a lawyer to continue to try and bully us through courts just as the ex spouse did in the relationship. Mrs. Pelham knows when the time is right to step in and say enough is enough. Mrs. Pelham continues to impress me with knowing the laws to put a stop to the things the other side continues to throw at my child. Some lawyers will tell you what you want to hear so you will continue to give them money as the case with my daughter's ex's attorney. This is sad and not good for anyone. Mrs. Pelham really cares for the clients she works with and will tell you exactly the truth as to what she can do for you. If you want a caring, honest, knowledgeable (knows the law) , attorney who will fight for you and your family I recommend Mrs. Pelham. You can tell Mrs. Pelham loves what she does. Whatever it is you need, Mrs. Pelham is there for you and your family and never makes false promises!! Mrs. Pelham has put me and my family at ease. As the grandmother and mother of Mrs. Pelham's client I highly recommend her as an attorney! Thank You So Much for helping my daughter get through this very intense time.

THE BEST MOST CARING ATTORNEY I HAVE HIRED

I have been through many attorneys due to a divorce/ child visitation and support issues and got nowhere. I needed someone who truely was on my side and would fight for my rights as a parent with tenacity and gumption...and I found that in Hannah! She is professional, proficient, timely, and most of... all the best legal voice I had ever had. She went above and beyond and even helped me find and work with an out of state attorney that I had to hire. I highly recommend Hannah for her outstanding work and dedication!
