We do not generally leave online reviews for anything but for this, we feel compelled. My wife and I hired Brent to represent my wife's family. There were two specific things about Brent that stood out to us and made us want to retain him. First, he had an extremely good understanding of immigration... law. This was very important to us because my wife's family's immigration situation was immensely complex. Prior to meeting Brent we actually talked to a few different lawyers in the Nashville area which seemed decent but during our consultations, those attorneys seemed to have difficulty answering immigration law questions that related to our situation, so we decided to look elsewhere. When we met Brent Hessel we were presently surprised! His deep knowledge of both the immigration system and specific laws instilled great confidence and gave us an assurance that we could trust his council. Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, is the fact that from beginning to end, Brent took a very personal interest in our case. It was more than just business for him, he took our case personally and we knew that he cared for us. Also, when preparing for court, he spent tons of time working with us and working on our case and week after week he consistently and patiently answered our many questions and time after time he helped calm our fears. In court, Brent went to bat for us and was thoroughly organized and prepared. He worked with us for well over a year and every step of the way he was there for us when we needed him. I'm sure there are other good immigration attorneys available in the Nashville area but knowing Brent we cannot imagine hiring anybody else. We would hire him again without hesitation. My husband and I first met Brent about 2 winters ago. We met with him for an immigration matter and from the first moment we met, I knew he was the lawyer I had been hoping for. He is always kind and makes me feel as though every person would need to know the same information. We plan to be in the final phases of our journey in the very near future and I know that no matter where we are, Brent will be available to hold our hands and walk us through this very personal journey. I have recommended several people to Brent for immigration matters and concerns and I will continue to do so. I think that sometimes we have a perception of how a professional person will handle matters and Brent handles them as though we were his only clients, while treating us as though we have known one another a lifetime. He encourages me when I get discouraged and he reassures both of us that we can get all these matters taken care.
