Biography
Nashville Attorney Michael Shipman began his legal career practicing criminal law in Chicago at the Cook County Office of the Public Defender, Felony Trial Division at 26th and California. He assisted in the defense of many types of felony criminal charges, including burglary, attempted murder, forgery, robbery, weapon related criminal charges and gang related criminal charges. After moving home to Nashville, Mr. Shipman accepted a position as an in-house corporate attorney for an emerging high profile sports training company based in Franklin, TN. Upon forming Shipman & Crim, PLC with former Davidson County Prosecutor, Joel Crim, Mr. Shipman has re-focused his Nashville practice on criminal defense, DUI Defense, personal injury, auto accident claims, and motorcycle accident claims.
As an attorney, Mr. Shipman has enjoyed representing a wide array of clients from indigent criminal defendants in the public defender’s office to high profile professional athletes in both their professional and personal matters.
