I focus my practice on acquiring intellectual property, patent opinion practice and enforcing intellectual property rights. I have a wide array of experience prosecuting patents domestically and internationally, and I conduct freedom to operate opinions and invalidity opinions applicable to the United States and other countries. I primarily prosecute patents in the life sciences and medical devices fields and provide trademark counsel for clients operating in diverse sectors.
Prior to moving to Nashville and joining Patterson Intellectual Property Law, I clerked with , Inc. in Seattle, WA in its Intellectual Property Acquisition and Investments group. My technical background is in the life sciences. During law school, I completed an externship with Carnegie Mellon University’s technology transfer office. Prior to law school, I was a laboratory technician for one of the world’s largest medical device and diagnostic companies.
